I just came across Chromeo's video for Bonafide Lovin off their newish release Fancy Footwork. I'm a big fan of the 80's throwback synthesizer playing vocoder singing band and I am equally into the cheesy video. It's a lift from the 80's video "Money for Nothing" by the Dire Straights which featured the "high-tech" melding of "futuristic computer graphics" and live video. I would have to think that Money For Nothing is probably the most popular song featuring homophobic lyrics to receive substantial air play on MTV, ever.
